Privacy
This notice explains what information Bloglly collects when you read the site, subscribe to the newsletter or send us a guest post, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
Who we are
Bloglly (bloglly.com) is an independent online publication. For anything about your data, write to notifications@bloglly.com.
Reading the site
You can read every article without an account and without giving us any personal information.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are deleted on the host's normal schedule.
- Visit counts. We count visits arriving from search engines and AI assistants as daily totals. These counts don't identify you.
- Reactions. When you tap a reaction on a post (🔥, 🤯, 😂, 💀) we store only the total. To stop the same person tapping many times, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your connection details for 24 hours, then it expires. We can't turn that code back into your IP address.
- Theme choice. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). It never reaches our server.
Cookies, analytics and ads
The site works without cookies. We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and Google AdSense to show ads that pay for the site. Where a cookie banner is shown, these tools load only after you accept, and if you reject, ads are non-personalised. Google may use cookies and similar technology to measure visits and to show and measure ads. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie choices" in the footer. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your e-mail address, the time you agreed, and the page where you signed up. We use it only to send new posts or a weekly digest. We ask you to confirm by e-mail first. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Every e-mail has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops e-mails straight away.
Guest posts and payments
When you send a guest post we store your name, e-mail address, optional website, the article (or the link to it), your message and the order details. We use these to review your article, publish it under your name if accepted, and e-mail you about the order.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to Razorpay and never touch our server. We receive only the payment reference, the amount and whether it succeeded. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Who we share data with
We don't sell or rent personal data. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:
- Hostinger, for hosting and e-mail delivery
- Razorpay, for payments
- Google, for analytics and ads where enabled
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw any consent you've given. Write to notifications@bloglly.com. The data protection page explains how these requests work and how long they take.
Children
Bloglly is written for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes
If this notice changes, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.
